Why advocacy matters

Individual support changes one life at a time. Policy changes millions. BRA advocates for stronger anti-bullying protections in schools, workplaces, and online platforms — with a particular focus on the communities and bullying types that current policy leaves under-served.

What we do

• Respond to government consultations on bullying, online safety, and children’s wellbeing
• Brief parliamentarians on the specific experiences of diaspora communities
• Advocate for recognition of identity-based bullying — including colourism, hair-based discrimination, and tribalism
• Support schools to develop and implement robust anti-bullying policies
• Work with platforms to improve reporting and response for cyberbullying
